When humans get sick or hurt, they go to the doctor, explain their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With pets, however, it’s not always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they aren’t always able to let us know when something is bothering them.
What’s more, many animals are good at hiding the signs of illness, allowing it to develop and worsen undetected.
Veterinary diagnostics enable us to identify and treat health concerns in a timely manner. Timely diagnosis of illness and injury can dramatically improve the chances of a positive outcome.
Twin Pines Veterinary Clinic’s on-site diagnostic laboratory makes it quick and efficient to run a wide variety of tests. In many cases, we can have the answer we seek in just minutes. This means we can have a treatment plan in place before you and your loved one even leave the exam room.
When a physical exam and lab work aren’t enough to achieve a diagnosis, we turn to advanced imaging technology, including x-rays and ultrasound. These tools allow us to assess the bones and internal organs, identifying injuries, diagnosing illness and determining its severity.
Digital images can be analyzed by our doctors in real-time or shared electronically with specialists if necessary.
If your pet has been acting a bit under the weather lately, don’t take chances. Give us a call right away. We’ll get to the bottom of the problem and get your best friend back on the path to good health again.
